About Our Doctor
Evelyn R. Wiley, D.D.S., M.S.
As the designated neighborhood "helping hands" teen in my small hometown in Oklahoma, I grew up believing I would become an adult working in health care. My motivation has been to care for people and to please them from my earliest years. By my second year of dental school I had decided to become an orthodontist committed to making people smile beautifully for a lifetime of life's big events.
These many years later, orthodontics is still my way of purposefully living with my patients, their families and my co-workers. Being in such a rewarding profession where I can help so many children and adults gives me great contentment.
One of the best and most important aspects of my practice is guiding my patients and parents as the type of treatment is planned. I am very careful to listen and answer questions regarding their concerns every step of the way. In the treatment clinic, we get to know our young patients at a very critical stage of their development. I strive to be gentle and "conscious" as their smiles "grow up" into another wonderful aspect of a highly self-esteemed individual. It is an honor and privilege to care for my patients as if they were mine.
I obtained my D.D.S. with honors (Omicron Kappa Upsilon) from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, my M.S. degree in Orthodontics from the University of Illinois, Chicago, Illinois. I became an Associate Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Oklahoma with clinical, research and teaching responsibilities.
My learning has never stopped and attending my courses in this ever-changing field is a pleasure. The orthodontic field inspires me as it continues to develop and evolve for more efficient and excellent treatment options for my patients. I apply that same focus to providing excellence in my caring approach and attention to detail for each and every patient. My patients can rest assured that they are consulted and cared for by a cutting-edge, highly experienced and committed orthodontist.

Something Personal
I returned to Illinois from Oklahoma when I married. My husband and I built our "home-office" in Wheaton countryside in 1980. Our now grown son and daughter visit us with our grandchildren, Reign, Carl and Grayson from San Antonio, Texas and Sheboygan, Wisconsin. At this stage of my career I am joyfully able to "lean-in".
My hobbies have always been perennial flower and vegetable gardening. I added orchid cultivation after finishing my orthodontic training. Many of my patients enjoy visiting the plants in my greenhouse "on the roof".
We attend a Christian church in Lisle, Illinois and participate as ushers and are active in the 501 C "Reach" community food pantry program. I am very thankful for the gifts and blessings that I have received in my life.
