Dr. Evelyn R. Wiley graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma with a degree in chemistry. She received the American Fund for Dental Education Scholarship during her last year at OSU. During her dental training at Meharry Medical College, she received the Hill Foundation Clinical Fellowship and completed an externship at the University of Washington Seattle – School of Graduate Studies in Dentistry. She was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Society. At the University of Illinois at Chicago, she completed her master’s degree in orthodontics. Her master’s thesis was completed in muscle physiology. Dr. Wiley became an Associate Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Oklahoma, where she was a clinical instructor in addition to continuing research activities. Dr. Wiley was cited for three orthodontic clinical books developed at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and sponsored by the National Institute of Health. Upon her marriage to a Chicago area dentist, Dr. Wiley returned to Chicago and has been in private practice.
She is a member of the Wheaton Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists and the Continental Orthodontic Study Club. Dr. Wiley attends continuing education courses in orthodontics and other dental fields throughout the year all over the United States and at the International Orthodontic Congress.
Aside from the practice of orthodontics, she enjoys perennial gardening and painting in oils. She loves being “mom” to her two wonderful adult children.
